WEEKLY POLL (APRIL 30 - MAY 6): Do You Think Daniel is Right to Give Up Lucy?

At the end of Friday's episode, Daniel signed away his parental rights to Lucy, giving Billy & Victoria full custody of the child. He has heard everyone's opinion on what he should, but he feels he is doing the right thing by keeping Lucy with Billy & Victoria because they can give her a good life with a lot of love. What do you think? DO YOU THINK DANIEL IS RIGHT TO GIVE UP LUCY?

- Do you think it is not right because he will likely regret the decision later and want to be a father to Lucy some day?
- Do you think that it is right because he doesn't want to raise her and Billy & Victoria have been great parents to her?
- Are you not sure what to think because there are pros and cons in any way the story plays out?
- Or are you thinking it doesn't even matter because Phyllis is after Lucy now and she will find a way around this to get what she wants?!

WEEKLY POLL (APRIL 23-29): Was it Wrong to Block Adam From Sharon's Funeral?

This past week, Genoa City residents gathered to mourn the "death" of Sharon -- well, all but one resident, anyway. The Newmans (Victor, to be more precise) got a restraining order against Adam so that he would be blocked from the funeral. What do you think about what went down? WAS IT WRONG TO BLOCK ADAM FROM SHARON'S FUNERAL?

- Do you think, yes, it was wrong and Adam wouldn't have made a scene if they would have just included him and let him mourn for her, too?
- Do you think that it was in no way wrong because the Newmans were trying to honor and remember Sharon in the most positive way they could and Adam was just a reminder of all the bad memories of her?
- Or do you think that, while it maybe was wrong, Adam should have been more understanding and sensitive of what the rest of Sharon's family needed and found a way to mourn in his own way?

Be sure to check back next Saturday for the results ... And be sure to tune into Y&R next week to see Adam make his mark on Sharon's funeral one that the rest of the Newmans won't soon forget!

WEEKLY POLL (APRIL 16-22): Romance Ahead for Nikki & Jack (Again)?

Are the writers at Y&R setting the stage for a Nikki & Jack reunion?! The duo hasn't been a romantic couple for many years, but there aren't a lot of other options for either of them in Genoa City right now -- Nikki wants nothing to do with Deacon, Victor is with Diane, Phyllis just cheated on Jack with Nick (again), and Sharon is about to be presumed dead -- who else are these two going to be able to turn to for comfort besides one another? What do you think? ROMANCE AHEAD FOR NIKKI & JACK (AGAIN)?

- Do you think they probably will get together again simply because the writers can't seem to decide which characters belong together and will probably throw them together just because there aren't really any other options for the two of them?
- Do you think, yes, they will get back together because Nikki needs someone stable and Jack will need comforting after learning about Phyllis cheating on him with Nick?
- Do you think there is no way they will get back together because they are nothing more than friends and you can't imagine them finding romance together again?
- Or are you just really hoping they won't get back together because there are other characters you want to see them with?

CASTING SHOCKER! Is Billy Miller OUT as Billy Abbott?

Emmy winner Billy J. Miller (Billy Abbott) could be exiting The Young and the Restless when his contact expires this summer. In addition to his Emmy win, Miller is extremely popular with fans and the news of his possible exit has already started a frenzy among many in his large fanbase.

Word of Miller's exit was first reported by Soap Opera Digest. Citing sources, the magazine indicated that Miller had chosen not to renew his contract with the top-rated CBS soap. However, Miller's exit may not be as done of a deal as first reported.

After talking to its own insiders, Soaps In Depth reported that Miller and show executives are still engaged in contract talks. The magazine hints that one of the key negotiations might involve the ability for Miller to do projects outside of daytime. In the past, the networks have been reluctant to let their contract players appear in primetime and movie projects. That's not the case anymore, as networks have been working to find a middle ground in order to keep top-name talent.

Another setside source, though, told soapcentral.com that this might be another case of show brass trying to negotiate via the media. Contract talks are typically closed-door meetings. Y&R, however, has had several very visible and very high-profile negotiation sessions in the past few years, including those involving Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki Newman), and Jess Walton (Jill Abbott).

Miller debuted on The Young and the Restless in September 2008, becoming the fourth actor in six years to play the role of Billy. Prior to joining Y&R, Miller appeared for a year on ABC's All My Children. In 2010, Miller was named Outstanding Supporting Actor at the Daytime Emmys.

A Y&R spokesperson had no comment.

- Will she kidnap Lucy and take her to Kevin, not giving anyone else the chance to fight over her?

CASTING NEWS! GH Icon Genie Francis is Headed to Genoa City!

The Young and the Restless has scored a casting coup that will undoubtedly break the hearts of General Hospital fans everywhere. The top-rated CBS soap has reached a deal that will have Emmy winner Genie Francis (ex-Laura Spencer) appearing in Genoa City.

According to Entertainment Weekly and soapcentral.com, Francis will play Cane's mother. Since Cane's untimely death earlier this year, fans have been lobbying to have Y&R reverse their decision to kill off the character. Cane, played by actor Daniel Goddard, has recently been appearing as a "ghost," but Francis' addition to the cast and Y&R's recent assertion that Goddard remains under contract to the show has fans wondering if Cane might somehow still be alive.

Francis assumed the role of Laura Vining in 1976. The actress has made several breaks from the ABC soap in the past, but her most recent exit as a contract player came in September 2002. Francis returned for a month in 2006 to mark the 25th anniversary of Luke and Laura's wedding. In 2008, Francis made a similar short-term return. Last year, rumors surfaced that General Hospital might be interested in having Francis return to the show. After several weeks of chatter, the rumors quieted down.

Hopes were again raised in February when, during an interview on the Oprah Winfrey Show, Francis didn't dismiss the idea of a return to General Hospital. The actress did, however, seemingly lay down a set of requirements for her to consider heading back to Port Charles.

"If there is a way to go forward with Laura and make her into what I'd like her to be now, then perhaps I would do it," the actress answered when Winfrey asked about a reprisal of Francis' iconic GH role. "There is nothing in me that is willing to play a victim anymore."

The 1981 wedding of Luke and Laura Spencer -- which was reportedly only brought about as a way to convince Elizabeth Taylor to make a guest appearance on the show, which she did -- was watched by more than 30 million viewers. Despite being one of daytime's most recognizable actresses, Francis has received only two Daytime Emmy nominations. In 2007, Francis won the Outstanding Supporting Actress Emmy.

Francis will begin taping her first scenes at Y&R at the end of April.
