CASTING SURPRISE: No More Nikki on Y&R?

Might viewers have seen the last of Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) on The Young and the Restless? The CBS soap isn't commenting, but Scott has revealed that she's taped her last scenes.

"Actually, I don't know if or when I'll be shooting again," Scott said on Twitter. "This week's air shows were my last, until someone determines otherwise."

This isn't the first time that Scott and show executives have reached a stalemate. In fact, it's the third time in the past ten years. In 2001, sources reported that Scott had been let go from The Young and the Restless. After several weeks of uncertainty, CBS announced that Scott was staying out but she later returned. Then, just two years ago, a contract impasse between Scott and Y&R executives resulted in Nikki Newman being written out of the show temporarily. Now, it looks like history has repeated itself and the actress may be gone for good. Stay tuned.

    No one seems to know what is going on anymore. Nikki needs to stay and Daisy and Phyllis need to GO GO GO!

    I, and many others, have been watching Young and the Restless since before Nikki came into the picture. She is the matriarch of the show; big mistake to try to replace her. She is worth whatever she is asking.

    This is for the big shots you people don't know acting if it bit you in the buy. Get rid of Phyllis and that girl that is not good on the show. You know I could run circles around them. Get rid of Sally. It doesn't take a rocket science. Adam. Let me run the show
